<reviewbody>Another episode of the ultra-rare 1949-1950 TV series "The Life of Riley". This series was among the first to be produced on film instead of Kinescope, Although judging by the picture quality this appears to be a VHS transfer. It ran for one season, and is best remembered for starring Jackie Gleason before he did "The Honeymooners". Hardly comedy genius, But this very charming and amusing. The writing is typical for the period, But the production techniques are unusual for the period: Most sitcoms back then featured a studio audience, This show doesn't; It was produced on film instead of being kinescoped; There is no main sponsor; and it runs a mere 22 minutes instead of the usual 25. Overall worth seeing if you interested in early TV.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>The print is terrible, running at a mere 22 minutes instead of it's original 25 or so. Still, Jackie Gleason is always charming, so this isn worth watching.</reviewbody>
